Rabta ("we", "our", or "us") is a product of Mailapp.app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the Rabta mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
When you create an account and use Rabta, we may collect the following information:
- Account information: Name, email address, date of birth, gender.
- Profile information: Photos, bio, ethnicity, education, faith level, marriage preferences, and other details you choose to share.
- Location data: With your permission, we collect your approximate location to show distance between you and other users.
- Usage data: How you interact with the app, including likes, messages, and profile views.
- Device information: Device type, operating system, and push notification tokens.
- Verification data: Selfie photos submitted for face verification, which are compared against your profile photos.

- To create and manage your account.
- To show you potential matches based on your preferences.
- To display distance between you and other users.
- To enable messaging, voice messages, and photo sharing between matched users.
- To verify your identity through face verification.
- To send you push notifications about matches, messages, and interests.
- To maintain the safety and integrity of our community.
3. Photo Privacy
We offer a photo blurring feature that allows users to keep their photos blurred until they choose to reveal them to specific matches. Blurred photos are stored securely and only unblurred for users you explicitly approve.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share limited data with:
- Service providers: Hosting (Supabase), push notifications (Expo), and authentication services that help us operate the app.
- Legal requirements: When required by law, regulation, or legal process.
- Safety: To protect the rights, safety, and property of our users and the public.
5. Subscription and Payment Information
Rabta offers optional paid subscriptions (Rabta Gold and Rabta Premium). We do not directly collect, store, or process your payment information. All payments are handled securely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We receive only:
- Your subscription status (active, expired, or cancelled).
- The type of plan you are subscribed to.
- Transaction identifiers for support purposes.
We do not have access to your credit card number, bank account, or other financial details. For payment-related inquiries, please contact Apple or Google directly.
6. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and security practices. We use Supabase for our database and file storage, which provides enterprise-grade security including row-level security policies and encrypted connections.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:
- Your profile, photos, messages, and all associated data are permanently deleted.
- Verification photos are removed from storage.
- Voice messages and chat images you sent are deleted.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Update or correct your personal information through the app.
- Delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app.
- Withdraw consent for location tracking by changing your device settings.
9. Age Requirement
Rabta is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will promptly delete their account and data.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by other means. Your continued use of Rabta after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
